Yea that's what I figured, I just always wondered why people asked for them specifically when it was possible to run a hydraulic in the older chassis.

Yup, Joe did it on the spot for me, and he also extended the dump tube. We are gonna make some kinda skid plate/bar so my exhaust won't bottom out and yank off the mani. I still gotta put it back on and wire up the relay for the alky kit.

im building a 90 hatch with a similar build to yours and i thought this was gonna be a problem right from the beginning, so i figured i would convert it over to hydro before i had the cable problems.

heres a thread i made with a couple pics that could give you an idea of how to do it

its not too difficult if you have a little fabrication experiance. i got a master cylinder out of a car at the junkyard and i called up Hasport and they said they would sell me just the tranny adapter brackets for the cable to hydro conversion for $150. for the clutch line im going to just run a stainless line from some guy on ht who makes stainless clutch lines in any length you want. still waiting on a price from him but i cant imagine it being too much.

Bitches I am drnuk.

Cable to hydro tranny conversions are dead nuts simple with a few brackets bolted or welded to the dash frame.

Cable trannies are old and useless. the end.
