10's coming soon. Project Pics.
Ive been kind of quiet around here since my last track day.
Heres what Ive been doing in the mean time.
Just finished porting this z6 head today. Worked on it for about 5 or 6 hours.
Slight bowl work, guides only slightly cut. Nothing drastic. Exhaust side is pretty heavily ported.
Intake side only cleaned up with sanding rolls. Dont think theres much need to port a z6 intake side much larger than stock.
First time porting, pretty fun. Nothing like free power/torque.
Head is getting dropped off to get milled and have the valves seated tomorrow.
The Holset h1c got rebuilt by me and the wheels are getting balanced. Still waiting for them to get back to me.
Got some new z6 arp headstuds, Ive reused the old set over 10 times, thought it was time for a new set lol.
Pics will be up tomorrow of the new (used) exhaust manifold, and v-band flange welded to hot side of turbo.
Im sure ill run out of injector when Chris gets to tuning, but im gonna make the most of the 550's as possible.

It will go on once my wheels get back from balancing. Any day now. Hopefully will be on by the end of the week.
The intake side wasnt ported. Casting lines removed and the upper port hump was only slightly taken down. Basically wasnt enlarged or changed in shape.

Needed to be rebuilt because almost a year ago i ran he turbo without any oil for a day lol. The brake line I was using for a feed was clogged somehow and I had no idea.
It still runs fine, just smokes a bit so I thought Id rebuild it. Especially since ill be upping the boost
Stock cam, plenty of people have made good # on stock z6 heads and cam. Im no different.
No more cast mani, JG fab log mani. Pics will be up of it today.
