yea, working on a 1995 ford escort with 1.9 sohc 4cyl, for a friend, and fully rebuilt engine with new hypereutectic pistons, crank turned and recon. rods,head is ported and semi polished with intake, and installed an adjustible fuel pressure regulator, stock 2000 mustang 3.8 v6 throddle body, 21 lb fuel injectors with matching mass air flow sensor, msd coil pak with accel wires, and wondering if a stock turbo off a 86 thunderbird turbocoupe would be too much for stock electronics, has coil pak so non-adjustable timing, had 100 shot of nitrous but he wants turbo. Anybody thinks stock boost would be ok? comments?

 

for timing have a look at this megajoltlitejunior http://picasso.org/mjlj, it was designed specifically to control timing with for EDIS distributorless ignition.

Also do a search on megasquirt, megasquirtnedis, and megasquirtnspark. This is a single programmable unit that can control fuel and timing, supports upto 22.5 psi ..etc. etc.

I got a buddy thats got a mercury tracer motor (dohc)in his escort with the jdm mazda protige intake mani and turbo. The damm thing is completely stock oem parts but the rfl bov and turboxs boost controller,the ---- runs mid 12's and goes back and forth between 12 to 22pounds of of screeching boost!!! haha, hypercraptic pistons, wheee. just wanted to say that. anyway the only problem i could forsee is that the turbocoupe turbo is kind of a big turbo, he might have issues with lag.

 

those 1.9 SOHC are only 88hp stock

i had one. they are crap. boosting 10psi, you might get 150hp
