Something Different

Hey All.

Been pokin around for sometime now and now it is time to make a post.

I am Canadan,

So this a 2006 yamaha atack that got smoked in the ass end and I got a screeming deal on it. It has the efi 4cly 1000cc R1 motor in it, spins at 10200 rpm and put out 150hp

I am going to put a reamount on it, a bigger track and climb up a few mountains.

I will try to keep posting on this, should be done in a few week............................. I hope

My apologies to the OP. Your punctuation was almost as bad as Teg2Boo's so I made a poor assumption. Where in Alberta are you? There are quite a few members in BC and AB.

I like where this project is going, at least that yamy sled won't be complete fail now.

Re: Something Different

To bad about my grammer it has always been bad, my welding sucks to, but I can blame that on my cheap ass overseas tig.

Thanks to all that have made a reply, I do not know if this is the place to be posting this but I feel really comfortable on this fourm and I am sure I will get some good advice here. The yammy motor is not to far different from a honda in the way it manages boost.

Nice thing about a sled is you can make some great power in sub zero temps, ever seen a dyno run at 25 degrees below freezing?

So I got a mounting plate fabbed up and a charge tube that is going to rub against my track, I will have to fix that. I also rigged up a degree wheel so I can time the cams after I plop in a head shim that will bring the compression down from 11.5 to 9.4

The turbo is someting I had from another project it 's a 2571r the one with the bigger intake.

I'm thinking it is going to be great for cooking food on, not much room between it and the seat.

Im in calgary, hope we get lots of snow! Anyone else excited for snow? I tried to get the cat guy at work to push up a ramp on the side of our haul road for some sled hopping >:D He said the 'tards in the scrapers would probably roll over not seeing it. Litre sleds make me smile

i don't fly in any of the shitboxes they make. ask travis barker and dj am their opinions of their build quality.

Re: Something Different

I don't think bombarder make their own tire... It's not the first time in history that a tire explode on a plane.

Scott-EP 11-08-2008 11:58 PM

Re: Something Different

odds are it was a goodyear or michelin tire. thats pretty much all of your airplane tire options

NIGn0g 11-09-2008 12:06 AM

Re: Something Different

So if the tire failed it was probably a goodyear since it's an american compagny. Anyway, MMichelin is from France. It's way too far! :P

that makes no sense.

planes go through tires way faster than cars. i am probably the only person on this site to ever see a plane with its original tires and thats cause i work for a company that sells new planes
