True, thats also why you don't want to recirculate (sp?) your fuel too much. This warms up the fuel in the tank.
Also, the fuel helps the engine to cool down a bit, with super heated fuel you don't.
What a ---- story :1

You should check out Smokey Yunick. He preheated fuel until it broke into a parafin and olefin. Pimp.

I had the pleasure of meeting Smoking Yunick about 20+ years ago. He was a very nice guy and pushed the limits of everything he ever worked on. He changed racing forever. I don't know anything about preheating the fuel!!!

You've never heard of The Best Damn Garage In Town? :'(

Go to a bookstore and get Power Secrets, Leroy. It's a great book, while technical in nature he swears ever other sentence. He would walk into GM anytime he felt like it - they rolled out two red carpets, one for each foot - and tell the engineering staff what he thought of them and how they were ------- up. He was the embodiment of redneck common sense.

found the book on amazon.com, for $30 but before I buy the book, is it really worth getting? probably wont. I figured it wouldnt apply imports anyway

It's just the ramblings of an old redneck, nothing you'd be interested in.
