First off, are you so dense to notice that USPS doesn't offer tracking numbers, or does Josh have to tell you another 4 times?

Second off, you've been on the site long enough to know that Josh is banned from selling here for a reason. Keep this ---- off of HMT and stick to H-T and PM's.

I can speak for most people that I'm sick of hearing people's ---- with Josh.
First off.... you are the one who needs to shut the *** up. I do know that USPS does not have a tracking system that UPS has, BUT hey do have one... more on the area of Delivery Confirmation but it is still a means of proving that an item was sent.... Josh could've given me that..... he chose not to and mostlikely chose not to have that option.... but you are right, you said that he is listed as a scammer, so I shouldnt be suprised that is his way of doing business.

Second, PM's anywhere on any site doesnt work on Josh. He doesnt even have the audacity to call me. So, back the *** off. If somebody owes me (or my customer) some cash, I would do anything to get what was paid for or get a refund. This is HMT... where most of us poor people gather. I have just as much right to bitch about BS like this like every other member..... look up my posts.... I have never once bitched in here.

I give everybody the benefit of a doubt once. I'm an easy going guy. So, shut the *** up yourself........

i told you exactly what was going on. i added PREMIUM BMC PORTED FLANGES to yuor guys order as a nice gesture which cost me about 60 dollars more a set than the regualar one s i charged you for first. your really making me regret that.

usps does not offer a goddamn tracking number. i told you that monday in the original post. how many more people are gonna sit there and bitch and whine about this.

your customers manifold is on the way, its ------- sexy, and he got way more manifold than he payed for.

your telling be to stay civil which i have , yet after the fact your mans stuff is shipped, you then flip ----?? i just dont get it.

Josh, do you really want me to cut and paste our conversation. YOU NEVER TOLD ME ANYTHING ABOUT TRACKING NUMBER. You ignored that subject everytime I asked you. As it stands right now, there is no FACT that you sent the manifold out unless you give me a tracking number or USPS Delivery Confirmation number. I did not ask you to give me the BMC premium flanges and I do give you credit for it. Good customer service heavily relies on communication Josh. On days that I expect you to answer PM's, you wouldnt, yet you'd have time to create a thread elsewhere.

It's all good. I will refrain about any other comments and wait until Monday afternoon to see if my customer gets his manifold. Then I will find a way to call you.

You sent Engloid a PM, but hand delivery of a local brew doesn't merit a response? You are a rude ***.

I can't really defend hotrex in this situation, since I really don't have much knowledge of it.

I would like to put in a thought though, about situations like this in general. I don't know whether hotrex is case of this or not though.

Lets say this guy named Pete. He's an AVERAGE guy in all ways. He learns to weld, gets a little better, and people start wanting him to make manifolds for them. Suddenly, it seems that his efforts are paying off. He's pumped!! He accepts the work, makes promises that he THINKS he can keep. This includes deadlines. We know that people often want something done yesterday when they're ready to buy. So, Pete, thinking he may lose a sale over a deadline, gives the customer a deadline that will be tough to meet. Pete, being new to this, isn't very good at estimating the time it will take to make the parts anyway, so he then becomes in a really fucked up bind. He's got somebody's money and they want the manifold.

So, to help appease the customer, he starts sending "in progress" pics to the customer...proving that things are moving along. The customer gets annoyed as time goes on and he's not getting the progress. Pete then, thinking it will be done in 2 days, tells the customer that he shipped it. The thought is that he can get it shipped in 2 days and then just say that the shipper took that extra 2 days to transport the item.

I think by now you guys are seeing the predicament here. It's the lure of money that makes Pete make these promises. He's got good intentions all the way though, with no plans to ever rip anybody off. He's not a thief, but he tells "white lies" to buy time.

From the outside, people that have never made a manifold don't see the difficulties involved in making a manifold. They just see welding. Welding it isn't all that bad, but when the welding warps stuff all to hell, it really makes things more difficult. If I had a pipeline in the average plant to weld in, I could do 16 welds, ---- off playing pranks on others, spend a couple hours bullshitting, and still have time left over at the end of the day. In this case, I'd spend about 15 minutes on each weld and walk away from it. Now, put those 16 welds on a manifold and you're going to spend an average of 15-20 minutes on each weld, and then twice that much time keeping things straight while you do them.

I'm not so much defending hotrex here, as I am trying to show the other side of the page to those that havn't ever made a manifold like these. I'm not trying to defend them for the "white lies," but more giving an explanation. There's a world of reasons, but that doesn't make things right. There's a difference in reasons and excuses. I think a lot of guys here don't understand the reasons for having difficulties.

Likewise, some of the sellers should slow down a bit...don't make promises that put you on such a tight schedule. Give yourself some extra time when setting a deadline. Quality work will sell all the manifolds you can make...and by doing quality work, people will be willing to allow you the time to do them right. In other words, you can get plenty of business. There's no reason to put yourself in a bind by doing work for the guys that want it done yesterday. Let somebody else do the rush jobs and deal with those hassles. If a guy wants a manifold in 2 days and you're not sure you can do it, turn them down. It's the difference in fast food or a steakhouse. If you want to work fast food, your main goal is speed. That's the main thing the customer wants. If you work in a steakhouse, the customers there are willing to wait for quality.

Let somebody else be the fast food of manifolds. Be the steak!!
