definitely doing this to my backup block, but one question... why does the kit come with 12 posts? do you put 3 posts per cylinder?

If you would have read the thread, you put 2 posts on the intake side of each cylinder, and one post on the exhaust side of each cylinder.

damn homes, I DID read the thread. I just misread that part. I ALSO read endyn's site that said they use 3 posts placed on 3 different axis'. No need to get hostile about it. Also, we have a shitload of stainless threaded rod at work. what if I used that? It's stainless so it should be ok with the coolant right? Or does the stainless rod/ aluminum block part make it not work? I remember learning something about certain metals making others rust when coming in contact with each other in body shop, just don't remember which metals. Just asking. If it will work and anyone wants some posts, let me know. I'll let you have em, just pay shipping. We throw away scrap anyway.

You want to use aluminum so that it heats/cools the same as the block. Otherwise you could run into leaking.

ok, makes perfect sense. We have aluminum rod at work too... I work in a machine shop, but I used to be the steel cutter so I know where, and what everything is. I'm actually still sort of training the new guy. I love the weekends! taking a throttle body on sunday to bore out, just to see how it turns out.

I'll prolly just throw some aluminum rod on a lathe and thread it quick, and then part it off a little long. Thanks for clearing that up though. And for not being a dick about it like some people can be.
