I cut them to the edge of the block. if you do this make sure you take them out first so you dont cut into the block. I thought about leaving a little bit sticking out but I was worried about the JB cracking easier since it would have to extrude outwards.

i've already had my block honed and all my work done though so i cant take them out, i'll just have to keep a good eye on the grinder so i dont cut the block

oh well, live and learn ;D

is it possible to post on both sides?

what if you torqued them to like 10 ft lbs (or whatever), and then have it machined, hence the extra torque would hold in place better. Anyone done that?

your supposed to post both sides... two posts per cylinder on the intake side, one per cylinder on the exhaust

i'd think that much pressure could oval out the cylinders past the point of fixing them hence why they say 2inch pounds

BTW crush, how much was the rod compared to buying the kit? i thought about doing it that way but decided to just get the kit

im going to do this to my LS block, but i dunno If i wanna buy teh rod of not, for teh effort of driving to teh metal shop getting teh rod, going back out to my machine show which is a half hour away and doing all teh work... seems worth it just to buy the kit

i got my kit in two days from endyn, im only like a state and a half away from em tho

it was worth it for me because i didnt have the time to wait
