WELL THERES THE ****, AND HERES THE QUESTION........ PLEASE DON'T GET ANY *** ON MY THREAD LOL'S
OK, THE SHOP THAT WAS REBUILDING MY TURBO CALLED, AND SAID THERE IS A HAIRLINE CRACK ON THE EXHAUST SIDE OF THE TURBO. I HAVE A BUDDY THAT'S A WELDER, BUT HE SAYS THERE ARE DIFFRENT RODS THAT YOU USE TO WELD CAST IRON. AT LEAST THATS WHAT I THINK THE EXHAUST SIDE OF THE TURBO IS MADE OUT OF. WELL I KNOW YOU GUYS WELD ALOT OF ----; WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST ROD TO USE?

WELL ITS ONLY AN INCH, I'M JUST GONNA GRIND A CANAL AND FILL IT WITH A WELD SEAM, AND THEN GRIND ALL THAT DOWN, I'M GETTING THE TURBO BACK AT 6PM I'LL POST PICS RIGHT THEN. I HEARD IF YOU USE RODS, THE HEAT WILL MAKE IT EXPAND, AND ITS GOING TO MESS UP OR SOMETHING ALLONG THAT LINE.

your **** is red X'd bitch.
high nickle rod, but it is alot of effort to weld cast iron. It takes pre-heat and post heat and to stress relieve it you weld alittlebit, weld somewhere else then peen it, repeate
