Making flanges

Re: Making flanges
baldur: jetcuting is the ***** but is expensive to maintain aswell as messy as hell.
A good oxy cuter can make cuts almost as clean as a regualr machined piece. It all depends on the skill of the person using the torch. I would suggest oxy cutting it. Its cheaper than anything else. just shop around and see what they will charge to cut you a hole. Most places in my town are pretty cool about doing small cuts, just ask around and see how much they want to charge.
as for the flange hole for the wastegate, i would suggest to also make it bigger than the hole because it owuld look like when the wastegate opens, its going to hit the flange if it is flat. just an opinion

Re: Making flanges
Alright, starting going at it with the dremel today (cut school again) after I finished my flange designs. This ****** is going to take forever. I trired to cut the block into two peices, and work on each flange seperately, and that ---- has taken me ~2hrs to get halfway through. Ahahaha. This is gonna be fun/godawful.
