Default lower control arm bushings

well i was tired of gator glen telling me that my lower control arm bushings were worn out in the racecar and thats why my axles were breaking so i eliminated the problem

burned out the rubber and welded a piece of black pipe in the lca

found some old wrist pins that fit nice and snug in the pipe

the bolts were a bit loose inside the wrist pins so a piece of mild tubing did the trick

damn what a fit

even welded the tubing inside the wrist pins

well was it worth it? i'll find out next season but i do know its about 99% more solid than the rubber pos

Hmm. I wonder if you'll have a problem with shearing bolts?

I need to replace mine on my beater. I think I'll stick with rubber ones.

I'm all for the solid mount but you need some movement for the suspension so it doesn't bind. A rod end style bushing would have been nice, I'm not saying it wont work because I dought you have much suspension travel and its not like your out huge bucks if it doesn't.......................... I guess I'm saying let us know how it works
