it doesnt have to be DOM ive seen plenty of strong aluminum shafts on about 800 hp cars. ive also seen some made out of mild steel. hell i know people with insane geared rock racing buggys with some pretty healthy v8s in them running mild shafts. the power i see that car running i dont think it will need anything more than some decent walled mild steel...

Well I suggest that since you cant really go wrong with it, Its fairly cheap, very strong, and easier to balance electroweld.

I Agree that it doesnt have to be DOM, but its the best choice IMO.

of course its a better choice...its stronger so its gotta be. still a lot more than a regular ol mild steel one...if he was making 700 hp i could see it but since hes not...
