home made driveshaft
did a search with no good results. has anyone tried this? where can you get the tubing to weld onto the yokes? want to make one for a set up runing about 300 hp. it will be short so i don't think vibration would be an issue, if it is, i'll send it to get balanced.

Re: home made driveshaft
i dont know where you are located but do you have a store similiar to farm and fleet, or other farm/general supply. i have seen just blank shafts that you cut to size and weld the joint on.

Re: home made driveshaft
thanks for your help. i'm in northern california. closest to that store would probably be ace hardware or orchard supply, but, i've never seen blank shafts there.

thats the best way i can think of to describe what he means. you can use a couple hose clamps to hold it all together while you weld it |
