HMT= Home Made Traction bars (CSaddict style)Now with test drive results!
i know, i would love to donate my crx to the cause but i live in colorado lol...so whenever you do get a donor car and fab some up let me know, ---- this could turn into new source of revenue for you, if you build a ---- load of them and sell 'em cheap enough that everybody wants them but you still make a little extra for your time that would be hot.....traction bars for all
Mad props for the nice buildup. 80 bucks isn't bad for materials. Damn I see one in the soon future not really sure yet with my MIG welder and my mad welding skillz if I'd trust it with something like that.
Congrats Dave

The bind is what gives you the traction. :P I just eye balled the Lakewood bars and then put mine where they put theirs. The suspension still has full movement. You can adjust the bind by extending or compressing the trailing arms.
I was thinking last night, do you think it would be stronger if you put tabs on the other side of the joints as well? Or would that not be functionally possible?
Yeah I thought of that. I was going to make the tab vertical and have 2 and use a bolt insted of a ball stud end. This was easier and it seemed to work for Lakewood. I have 3 more designs I have seen that are good variations. When I make Hotrex's I may change it up a bit.
