Sounds like some of you nogs don't know how much an exhaust affects a daily-driven turbocharged motor. Down on hater-tech someone with a mild hype-r build gained 20hp when they unbolted the stock axle-back w/o retuning. The tuner also said it was the quietest car he ever tuned.
My goal is quieter than OEM, but extra power/spoolup when I want it - instantly. No bullshit hand-pulls. Funny how you'd all rage against vtak lights, but would rather pull a raw cable. Slower and less reliable... :1

I'm going to take a vid soon, but it won't be like the hi-def **** you're all used to.
The starter solenoid is more of a heavy-duty relay than a true solenoid - the technical name is "starter solenoid switch". I doubt is has a fraction of the power my solenoid has.
That unit pictured can hold 10lbs when its energized and bottomed out. As far as where to get them, you'll have to search on your own. Allelectronics had these gems for $5 each, and the only places I've found that have a similar unit are weaker, 4x the price, and are those gay "signup & we'll give you a quote" BS sites. My plan is to use a more powerful intermittant solenoid as the primary, then halfway through the stroke, switch to these (or in case I make >2, a smaller solenoid). Intermittant solenoids overheat & need cooling (5 secs off for each 1 sec on), continuous solenoids can be energized indefinately. BTW those ebay lock kits with "45lbs solenoids" are basicly weak intermittant units, and that rating is how hard it hits, not how much it can hold.
