just remember that the flapper has to seal PERFECTLY otherwise if there is a leak it will quickly erode, similar to a burnt valve.
weir has good flanges but the quality of the cut on his is fairly low and you will not be able to seal against it.the piece originally posted has obviously been CNC'd from solid plate.

 

Not sure, if the egt's get way to hot then it might. I dont have a welder at the time that why I would like a 1/2" one. My idea should run me under $80 when all said and done.

ill pitch in a wastegate actuator. i have two 7 lbs actuators If you want one for the project.

 

i would pay up to $80 for that thing. id probly/might waste many hours trying to make one :1

 

Extremely simple piece to manufacture.

You just risk being sued by SP for producing them.

 

maybe you can get us flanges for cheaper then atp? 49$ wtf +shipping? seems steep

 

then just make and sell some of the key pieces for us to use as we please.

 

you can't be sued if it's not a "business" making and selling them

 

he has a business though, so he could be at risk, plus the way they charge for that ---- im sure they wouldnt mind sueing anyone. but if someone were to have the parts cut and sell parts...

 

He'd only be at risk for loosing lawyer fees in defence. There are a hundred systems doing the same thing floating around out there.
