I knew that this would turn into a shouting match. I more than respect the effort. Please sift through the name calling and look at the info that is fact that others have listed. It seems as though you are taking every comment as an insult instead of people trying to help you pass tech.

MIG wirefeed? Is there any other non-wirefeed MIG process? I think they may use that term to simply imply wirefeed welding.

A guy I chip ecus for is a NHRA tech inspector, I'll ask him.

MIG = metal inert gas. Fluxcore is not mig.

I know the difference. "MIG wirefeed" process is a redundant phrase. MIG process is wirefeed.

In that case I could use flux-core with gas. NHRA should be more specific and actually list the welding process, like GMAW and GTAW.

His cage could definitely pass. As long as the birdshit is scraped off and the cage painted, it'll pass no problem.

dude i wouldnt trust my life to that cage. even if the welds are good, the bar is going to be too close to your head. the main hoop should be tucked very close the the b pillars and the headliner. looks like that bar is going to be hitting your helmet, and if you drive this on the street, you will end up with a busted skull after hitting a small bump. Also it looks to me like those welds are not fully penetrating the tube, the wire is just on top of the tube. i love your setup but ---- man dont end up with a tube in your skull just to pass tech.

tucked nicely + gussets

dont half *** something that will protect your life.

your welds look like #4
