They brag about having a lifetime warranty. Anybody ever sent one back for repair? I'd be afraid that if I sent my ---- to China for repair that I'd never get it back.
Local friend sent two back to SSauto for warranty that had cracks, I even welded one back up then it cracked again, sent it away back comes a new one.

Thats a pretty cool deal, send out ---- and back comes ----, im just dissapointed fed ex / ups / xxx carrier are willing to carry ---- in their truck. They should reroute it back to the 11 yr old who welded it.
Backpurging isnt 100% necessary for something to last. However as you see in the picture, it does create a smoother more uniform weld and theres nothing wrong with that if you have the tools to do it.

You can still get full penetration w/o backpurging.

You just need another argon tank and a line of some sort to run into the area your welding. They sell little fixtures for holding the line exactly where you want as well.

You could penetrate your girl's ----- with a razor knife, but penetration isn't just penetration.

You don't need to backpurge if your using sch10 304 stainless piping. The material is so thick that it won't crack even if you get only 75% penetration. It will make it look nice on the inside and it is the right way to do it but its not needed. The SS auto manis are garbage because they use thin wall exhaust tubing and then mandrel bend it, making the bends even thinner. That with no support brackets on the turbo cause it to break or crack.
