zeitronix wide band
hey guys, i know some of u on here know what it is, and may even have it...and i need some help on hooking it up~
i have just put a turbo on my newly built engine and i am going to get ready to tune it once i fill it with some premium gasoline, so i took it out of the box tonight and hooked it up (grounded and had a power supply, although it was from the alternator bc i didnt have an accesable 12v source in the car), i changed the comm port from 1-8 and nothing, waited 30 secs for teh sensor to warm and still nothing, it did start reading for like 10 secs, and then when i clicked on the 'new plot' button, it stopped reading completely~
so i need some help here, i need to know asap how to use this thing bc the instructions aint helping me too much here~ so someone please help a fellow cb7 out so i can post some sweet vids of my monster!

red is power, black is ground, thats the bare minimum needed to operate it. green and grey are rpm and tps, not sure which is which.

yea i got a car specific wiring diagram from another site and i am going to try tying it directly into the computer (of the car) and doing it that way rather then rigging something up for it, will post results, thanks for the help!

Its really easy. Just make sure you grab the right wires out of the ECU (i found there were sometimes 2 of the same colored wires lol)
Directly from the widebands manual and vafc install guide
Red=switched power=A25 ECM power
Green=RPM=A21 for obd1 P28 ECU
Black, brown,brown=ground=A26
Grey=TPS=D11
Blue=user input=D17 presure signal from ECU
Purple=narrow output=D14 (which is the narrow band input on the P28 ECU)

Yea that was the problem. The com port on my adaptor was set to COM 5 while the datalogging program only allows you to choose COM 1-4. I had to go into device manager and change some ports to make room for the wideband. Works great after tinkering with it all day...
