Do you have the driver installed for it? Make sure all settings are correct. You also have to plug in the cable before you open up crome.

I got it to log but the values are delayed and also I can't see any highlighted cells signifying what my ecu is using to calculate fuel/timing, etc.

Go into the Advanced Tab under the driver and change the latency from 16 (default) to 1

Ok Freelog works fine but Crome isn't showing me any highlighted cells however it seems to be working but i'm just not getting the pink highlighted cell, there is a pink triangle on the 3D map screen that is moving.

I think I have 1.2.5, and I get a sidebar for datalogging which shows all the parameters. It either works or not.

Recheck to see that datalogging was added to the BIN, that the cable settings are correct, and that CROME is looking for the correct COM port. Sometimes your PC sets it as the wrong COM #, and Crome isn't smart enough to do the legwork finding it for you.

I don't know what kind of connector you are using, but double check if he is on the good side!

yeah...so i bought the tuner kit from xenocron...getting the hang of it...great investment.

My prob--ecu was sent to chris and he soldered in the zif socket and burned a chip for me...ecu worked great. I started playing with the moates ostrich and crome (basic) and copied the chip that chris made so i had a good place to start from.
I made a NA chip for obd1 ls (just added launch control, edited idle and such) and it works great. However, i got the hulog and plug it in and try opening Logworks 2 which came with the tuning package, and it says "no realtime detected" I have all the ports set up right and everything...just curious if there's something obvious i'm missing out on. :1

Logworks is the software for the wideband, either a lc-1 or lm-1, that was bundled with your package. You must have that wired up and calibrated before it starts to log anything. Should be a serial port that hooks to the lappy. Check pgmfi.org if you need help wiring it up, they have a great write up for the widebands. Only problem is finding a good ground source to get your afr readings in logworks and crome close to each other.
