I just got my enhanced willem burner today. it came with a 27c256ak chip, but i have an at29c256 that i want to use. I made a base map in turbo edit so i have a bin to burn to the chip. the thing i dont get is what are the jumpers i read about, every burner i see doesnt look like mine and i cant find any jumpers...i searched around an read quite a few posts about this but i cant figure it out. i get an error:write sector 0

Seems like there's a wide variety of Willems on the market. Post a pic if you can find one (or can take one).

Mine used to be really finickey about how it was setup, as in HARDWARE. I would have to plug the serial cable in to the laptop, then plug it in to the board, start the 097g software, put the chip in, then plug in the USB at the board, then to the laptop. It sucked. Somehow or another, it worked it's bugs out.

I always Read Chip first when I put a new chip in. If it doesn't say what kind of chip it is, I know I fucked up somewhere. Once it's reading, I usually erase, then load the bin and burn it. Works pretty good nowadays.
