TIA/EIA-232-F and ITU v.28 Standards
Operates With 3V to 5.5V VCC Supply
Operates Up To 250 kbit/s
Two Drivers and Two Receivers
Low Supply Current . . . 300 μA Typical
External Capacitors . . . 4 × 0.1 μF
Accepts 5V Logic Input With 3.3V Supply
Alternative High-Speed Pin-Compatible

RS232 to 3.3V to 5V TTL Serial Converter Cable This converter provides two way RS232 serial communications signal conversion between the TTL (Transistor Transistor Logic) output (from an OOPic or other PIC) to and from a personal computer RS232 serial COM port.

This converter can be used on any Micro controller which has TTL serial communications that needs to be converted to RS232. The cable converts 0v & 5v(3.3v) nominal TTL signal to –12v & 12v RS232 serial signal. This cable require 3.3V to 5V power from the TTL side to operate

I am going to test a Nokia datacable that I can get from work also (we use two kinds, one of them is bound to work). If it does.. I'll smuggle a couple out and and pass 'em out.
