I'm with Leed, never seen shiny on the plug.

Its obvious which cylinder but did you do a comp test after to make sure it was the piston/ring?

I need to get myself a set of DET cans

The car owner has been driving around on a basemap that pegs his AEM UEGO at 10:1 AFR WOT, on a redneck sleeved Z6 block that's been decked twice, and has been "having to advance the timing at the distributor to get it to boost over 10 psi." When the pistons went - a couple of them melted a little around one edge and down through the side of the ring package - he didn't hone or anything, just dropped another one or two pistons in without filing the rings.

This time around the block was taken to a machinist I trust to be punched out 75.5mm, and Goforth helped the vehicle owner file his rings for correct clearances. It also has a block guard, dunno wtf for, that was installed before the block went to the machine shop.

I know this an extremely far idea but a member on here on HMT was having problems with their nitrous melting plugs etc 1 cylinder. After trying everything I decided to start tracing in the fuel system and sure enough a small piece of melted rubber was in the line dont ask me how it got there. Cleaned it all up car now has been running super dope boosted. I know its 99.9999999999999999 percent most likely not the problem but if your postitive the injectors are fine its gotta be something up oddville road.

I don't think it's fuel related, I think it was a mechanical failure, but engines are expensive and time consuming to buiold so I'll poke at the injector screens and flush the fuel rail and stuff.
