Strange SAFC readings.

Strange SAFC readings.
Hi guys,
I got a D16A9 (yep another EDM), and i just hooked up the safc-2. I'm pretty sure i wired it in right, but i'm getting some very strange readings. I have no fule corrections programmed in at the moment.
Black, Brown - Earthed
Red - Ignition power
Yellow - MAP input (ECU side)
White - MAP output (MAP sensor side)
Green - RPM
Grey - TPS
Now for the strange readings ...
The rpms read 3000+ when idling
The throtle position doesn't register properly
Its detecting knock even tho the that perticular wire isn't connected (purple one)
Battery voltage is read 13.9v even tho the multimeter says 14.3 when idling
Any help would be most appreciated
Thanks.

Re:Strange SAFC readings.
ECU - Earth
The brown is closer to the ecu and the black is aproximately 10mm away from the brown. The TPS sensot seems ok when diving ... i think it was me being a bit dence, but the rpm problem is still there ... the safc reads 9999rpm when you are only doing about 3000

Re:Strange SAFC readings.
Maybe the rpm signal wire is loose or something. Also, check the connections on the distributer because that is where the ecu gets the rpm signal.

Maybe I'm slow but wouldn't the map sensor provide an input to the safc which then modifies it ands sends the output to the ecu. I think you have these two wires switched.
But I don't claim to know anything so **** just a suggestion. good luck.

Re:Strange SAFC readings.
Yes, that is correct. He has the wires hooked up right. Yellow goes to the ecu and white goes to the map. He just marked them wrong. Just make sure the settings are all correct for the car and if thats not it, its probably a bad AFC. The only other thing I could think of is maybe a bad sensor?

Re:Strange SAFC readings.
The tach reads the rpm's fine and as should be, its just the safc By the tine the tack is at 3000 the safc is reading 9999.
I'm going to see if i can get a rpm reading from another location and see if that makes a difference. Besides the rmp all else seems fine, i havn't done any adjustments to the fule yet as i'm not satisfied with the operation of the unit.
Cheers.
