i dont know. however, i have tried doing the opposite of what you are saying - using 98 civic ex injectors on my 90 crx. i had them on my car for about six months until i could get the right ones, cuz my old injectors were leaking gas from the middle all over my ------- intake manifold and engine(fire hazard :P). i put them on cuz i just had them lying around. honestly, the car started fine, and i guess they worked. but... it idled like a lumpy peice of ----. surprisingly though, when racing the lumpiness went away. i always took my motor the the rev limit(7200ish rpm) and never had a problem.
but honestly if i were you i would just get the right injectors or get the resistor box. its really ------- annoying sitting at a red light and having your car sound like a stumbling piece of ----. plus its embarrassing/annoying when you got a girl in your car asking you whats up with your ride.

go get some 10 ohm resistors from radioshack, they are $1.69 for 2 and they work just as good as a resistor box, they just don't look as good. all 4 of mine are just bundled together in some electrical tape and nobody but me notices them.
