One thing that Ive learned and Ive heard Joseph Davis say it to. Don't try to advance your timing looking for power sohc's don't like to be advanced watch your engine coolant temps freelog does a great job with that by the way and if you see temps going up take out some timing. Usaully not every cars the same but thats a pretty basic rule of thumb.

im going to take as much time as it takes.....ill keep buyin ---- and keep at it im just really fucked when it comes time to tuning becuz will living here in iowa i have yet to find a tuner and i WILL not trust myself to tune it theres way to many things i am unsure about how to do

Youve got time. Get on pgmfi reaf the wiki read all the stickies here and just read the posts in this section. it's not as hard as you think the software part is easy. Trouble shooting bad sensors and mechanical problems is what takes all the time.
