i would get one of those guns forsure if i had to do this more then once and a while. i use both braid and a spring loaded radio shack suckr thing, niether work great.
also a trick my friend showed me i still use too, heat the holes and blow them out with a straw, works good but somtimes it leaves "tails" of solder on the back side u have to get off |

I use 800-1000 grit sandpaper real lightly then a strong tooth brush. then I wash the board with dish liquid and water. then let it dry until the next day.

I clean pcb's with either isopropanol alcohol or flux cleaner, i have both at my disposal from work.
