k for the record...

a 3sgte manifold is not a direct bolt on to a 5sfe as many people say it is.. maybe on a camry or something.:'(...

Went to mount up the 3sgte manifold to my head today and the ------- alternator bracket/mount was in the way of the very top left hole.. it was ------- lame.. the flange for the manifold is like 3/4 in thick.. it was so0o hard to cut.. but with the $2 blade from home depot it got done :y

http://tinypic.com/jh3a54.jpg
The adapter plate wasnt finished today, and welding the wastegate port to the 3sgte manifold was looking wayy to ghettor rigged for me.. so i decided to buy an internally wastegated turbo.. as i was lookin on the net i found this fucker...... they werent selling it for the longest time.. but today was my lucky day :6. for a price that is....

$115 later.
http://tinypic.com/jh3ax1.jpg
its a ct26(3sgte) flange that adapts to a t3/t4 turbo with an integrated external wastegate port.

and alot less sketch as my previous plan.

Anyways.. so im waiting for this bitch to come, and lookin around for a good buy on a TIAL wastegate cuz i have a turbonetics deltagate and im sooo scared of this little thing being the cause for my engine to explode >:(.

Here are 3 places i found that said ---- about the wastegate... i only looked like 10 mins too... :l

1.) https://www.homemadeturbo.com/forum/...?topic=15947.0

2.) http://www.hondaswap.com/forums/lofi...hp/t27525.html

This guy's story is identical to the guys i bought the kit from..

3.) http://www.topdownmx5.com/fm3.htm

Scroll down about half way.

Anyways if somones selling a TIAL external gate 7psi or below let me know.

Later

Re: !!!!!!!!!TOYOTA ENGINE MANAGEMENT?

BOOSTED TOYOTA =]..ONE OF THE FEW OF THEM AROUND HERE.

Finished my project last nite at like 1AM. The adapter plate with external wastegate port came, along with the Stage 2 clutch. Anyways. Started up like nothing, and loud as hell (open DP). Its rained 24 days strait, so there was flooded streets everywhere, but regaurdless.. I tested it out. Turbonetics Deltagate worked perfect. Running really rich, and a small oil leak in the oil inlet. So im gonna rethread it with more teflon tape today. Anyways i had to go to school the next day, (today). So i didn't get to do anything more than a little test drive. Runnin 6-7 psi non-intercooled. :y. But installing the intercooler when i feel like it =].. I have it and all the charge piping, just taking a break from the project. CSADDICT said you can tune non-adjustable FMU's.. I guess though valves or something.. anyone know about this?? im running pretty rich.. And was considering AFC/SMT because i'd probably make up the difference just on gas... :-\ . So.. i'll post up pics today or tomarrow.. AFter i RALLY the ---- outa it for a bit of course ;)..

So Stoked.. just finished my first HMT Setup at 16.

First Car.

First HMT.

First conscious wet dream :y

Anyways.. gotta get back to pretending im workin at High School..

Peace.

Re: !!!!!!!!!TOYOTA ENGINE MANAGEMENT?

5sfe can handle 330hp on the bottom end. Rod bolts are the weak link. But unlinke most hondas, it is a closed deck- which will go along way to prevent blown headgaskets. I would make sure you have a return fuel system before you put an FMU on your car. I cant remember which system they have, but you should really sell it and get smt or a vafc. and are you planning on bolting a stock honda manifold to your toyota head? cause i dont think that will go over too well, good luck with your project.. I was ready to turbo my 90gts before some ------- totalled it. You should just get an alltrac manifold and a ct26.
