Re: !!!!!!!!!TOYOTA ENGINE MANAGEMENT?

Soo... i got the d-series manifold back from the guy who was modifying it and putting the correct flange on it to bolt up to my head. IT IS THE WORST THING I HAVE EVER SEEN IN MY LIFE.. Its at my buddies garage where im putting the kit in at but i'll get pics when i go up there again. Anyways its so0o bad, not to mention the flange doesnt have bolt holes, and is not completely flat.. Anyways there goes like $100 down the drain because its worthless now. It was actually a pretty nice log manifold prior to his experiement.. I cant believe i was stupid enough to let him even try. Anyways. I let him try because a manifold bought from ssautochrome, or the stock 3sgte manifold did not adapt to a t3t4 obviously (made for ct26), and those manifolds didnt have external wastegate port newhere.. So i just purchased a 3sgte manifold because of the guys imcompetency, but am still left with the problem that i need an adapter plate, and someone to weld the external wastegate port on it. I would just buy the adapter plate from WEIR RACING, but then im still left with the issue that the the external wastegate port must be WELDED STILL.. and if im going to weld at all then i could just weld the flange from the "GHETTOFIED" manifold onto the 3sgte manifold and the external wastegate and call it a day.. unfortunetly i dont know how to weld, and am very reluctant to let someone else weld anything in the near future because of my past experience...

There was this guy on EBAY sellnig the adapter plate (ct26 to t3/t4 with an integrated external wastegate port, but no longer has any. I've been looking everywhere for an identical item.. NO SUCH LUCK.

Another option is for me to buy a ct26 turbo. It would bolt right up, and i could sell the external wastegate for profit back (ct26 is internally wged) , and also save money by not having to buy an adapter plate. I've been looking for a CT26 for a reasonable price all day for the past few days , also with not much luck.. SO IF YOU KNOW SOMEONE OR HAVE A CT26 FROM A 3SGTE (TWIN-ENTRY CT26).. not one from a supra, I AM VERY INTERESTED IF YOU'RE WILLING TO THROW A REASONABLE PRICE AT ME. OR ARE INTERESTED IN THE TURBONETICS DELTAGATE (7PSI) I HAVE WITH DUMPTUBE FOR SOME TYPE OF TRADE.

Any advice, or ideas i havent come acrossed let me know!!!

The CT26 is way overpriced, but I have seen some on here go for fairly cheap.

This is another adapter plate. I believe they said they could make one for use w/ an external wastegate. I'd call them and ask.

If worse comes to worse, just sell the turbo/external and buy a used ct26. You'd break even easily.

Re: !!!!!!!!!TOYOTA ENGINE MANAGEMENT?

yup i already saw 935 motorsports.com.. its not the external wastegate port adapter plate. but i might call them and ask if they can make one.. but im sure it'd be pretty pricey.. Im seriously just considering buying a ct26 and selling the wastegate, and my turbo. So that was kinda my plan already.. but thanks anyways snafubmx.

Re: !!!!!!!!!TOYOTA ENGINE MANAGEMENT?

yea that would probably be the best way to go, and then you wouldnt even need a external waste gate b/c the ct26 is set at 5psi, you could probably even trade someone straight across for your turbo. but give me a call when you get all your parts and we will install that bitch!!! im a virgin to boost...cant wait to feel it!!!

Re: !!!!!!!!!TOYOTA ENGINE MANAGEMENT?

IF I COULD HAVE SOMEONE THAT ACTUALLY WAS A LEGIT WELDER, THEN THAT'D BE ANOTHER OPTION. IF ANYONE HAS A LOT OF WELDING EXPERIENCE, OR MODEREATE AND WANTS TO MAKE SOME QUICK EASY

$MONEY$

THEN LET ME KNOW WHEN U ARE FREE AND ARE WILLING TO DO A FEW WELDS :y

Thanks

AH ok, you are using a 3sgte manifold. One question though. isint this going to put your turbo into your starter? 3SGTE transmissions have the starter on the transmission side of the unit and the starter spins backwards so it gives room for the turbo. but, on my 3sge tranny the starter is on the engine side under the exaust manifold. does it clear? I have no idea if it clears on mine or not.
