!!!!!!!!!TOYOTA ENGINE MANAGEMENT?

Hey, so i know this guy that bought a turbo'd civic not really knowing that much, but jsut wanted something that had a turbo. He blew his engine ( i believe as a result from the Turbonetics delta ex. WG. that i've heard has had a record for boost creep ). Anyways. I told him i'd give him $300 for everything turbo on his car.. He agreed. I went over last nite n this is what i removed.

-t3/t4 .57 a/r

-Pretty large FMIC

-Chargepiping and all connecters for the FMIC

-Blitz Bov (REaL)

-D series Mani.

-downpipe

-steel braided oil lines.

-FMU ( Yes.. an FMU you. dont hate on the FMU. =] )

-check valves. LOL

-Turbonetics External WG (7psi)

-Autometer Boost and A/f Gauges and Bezel (for civic)

Not bad for 300 bucks i guess.. Turbo has no shaft play and spins very well with the oil that remains. Anyways. To get to the point, I only spent this much $ on all that stuff so i kinda wanna keep it budgeted. AFC hack n injectors would, IMO be a waste for the 7 PSI and I KNOW the FMU would be fine. But i was wondering if anyone know's of someone who chips TOYOTA ECU's or any other forms of Engine management that would be economical for the amount of boost(7) im running on my setup. So no SMC, AFC hacks, ect.

Thanks.. And please no smart ass remarks.. If you have benneficial information then please..., but if you are just looking to fill up foum space, please dont.

Well basically your left with using a FMU.They are not great but if you insist on not spending any money that is your only choice.Good deal you got on that setup. If i were you i would sell the Dseries manifold and deltagate and buy a SSautochrome wastegate and use whatever is left to get some injectors and a SAFC or maybe a Split Second unit or one of the HKS etc fuel controllers as they can be had for dirt cheap on ebay.Keep us updated on your setup its great to see non Honda HMT kits.

Invest in either a 2 bar map, 310cc injectors and a safc, or just an SMT6/450's

Either that, or the AFC hack. Just search.

Doesn't toyota use a tek distributor. I thought there were some toyotas that were compatible with honda ecu's. If that's the case there would be quite a few options for management.

You can reprogram a Toyota ECU... just expect to spend 800-900 dollars for it :(

I would go with 450's and an SMT6. They're what I'm going to be using on my new setup, can't wait.

E-MANAGE or SMT-6

Just copy that kit from Burien Toyota that you were asking about a few months ago. The only part that I can see you having trouble finding is the MAP sensor. But even then, you can find those in the yard if you know where to look. (MKIII Supras aren't THAT uncommon)
