timeing messed up

Default timeing messed up

ok so my timeing belt got ripped so i put on a new one but its not getting tight really and the timing is really outa wack its a d16y7 how hard it it to time this motor and is there a step writ out any where i can use?

ripped as in snapped?

hopefully you didnt bend a valve and that is what is messed up.

make sure you set the crank and cam at TDC, put on the belt...release the tensioner and spin the crank around 1-2 times and back to TDC and then tighten the tensioner...

i did aS XENOCORN told me but now the belt is tight in back and way lose in the front ?
