was that with it set to 0%?
what happens if you wire in an SAFC and just turn the key? blown engine? just wondering how detailed the setup has to be...
thanks

I don't know too much about the SMC, or how to wire it, but is there anyway to lean the settings out on the SMC? If your running rich, just lean it a bit. And I know you said your wiring is correct, but just go back and make sure it's definately correct and you have a good ground and good connections. One wire is all it takes to mess something up.

I'll double check. Ok. Just gotta check to see if I'm right. 0% is the LEANEST, and 59% is richest right? If I'm wrong there, that could easily be my problem lol.

Re:SMC Install before injectors?

Well like I said, I'm not too familiar with the SMC, I use the SAFC, but I know that at 0% it makes no adjustment to fuel. So yes I beleive your right that 0% is the leanest you can go. But, is there any -% adjustment on the SMC like there is on the AFC?

Re:SMC Install before injectors?

Well see the SMC goes from 0% to -59% so I think negative is leaner? So anyway started the car and it runs.. Still high idle, still blood rich, at 59%. So I'm gonna throw my injectors in and see if it leans out more.

Re:SMC Install before injectors?

Hrm.. Also, could this be because of a vac leak in my FPR? I installed my boost gauge and Ted off of the fpr. Any ideas?

Re:SMC Install before injectors?

Yes, a fpr vacuum leak is a very good reason why it's running rich. Fix that biatch up man! then see what happens. Hope you get it working right man.
