smc or fmu

smc or fmu
hey i been reading a lot on theses forums and i cant decide on a fuel system. at first i was going to go with the FMU because im only running 5-7 psi max boost on my 2000 integra LS with stock internals and stock injectors. and now ive read a lot and read that smc are an alternative. i wanted to see what you guys think. im open to any type or fuel systems as long as i get a reliable and boosted car and also if you can add up costs as well. i wanted to know how much i should spend on fuel mangament for a 5-7 max psi boost with stock internals. Also should i upgrade my injectors, fuel pump or anything like that with a small boost?
Thanks in advance for the help

Re:smc or fmu
the fmu would be o.k. for 5-7 lbs., but ask anyone on here if you should use it and they will say NO, if you do, it is a good idea to get a bigger pump, but you don't have to. if you use the afc or smc you will need bigger injectors (dsm 450's work well, and are inexpensive). the smc is very cheap, but the afc is more accurate. also with the afc or smc and bigger injectors, you will be able to boost a lot more than 5-7 lbs., probably around 10lbs. safely, your stock internals are good to about 12-14 lbs. i have an ls also.

Re:smc or fmu
i would actually recommend the fmu for low boost...it works decent (you will most likely end up rich) and is easy to hook up. i would also use an upgraded pump with the fmu. I currently am using an smc500, which is good for the money but has some annoying quirks (however, it can actually be more accurate than the afc since the model i have is adjustable in 500 rpm incrememnts where most afc are only by the 1000's, although the afc has way more different settings for other random crap like high and low throttle, etc, which is nice)

Re:smc or fmu
would you guys recommend anything else besides the smc/afc with injectors or the FMU. how are the other fuel systems for a 2000 integra ls. i checked prices on hondata and figured its way out of my budget considering that im doing a very small boost. i dont mind spend more money than a FMU as long as i have a reliable car.
