ok i have 96 civic cx swapped d16z6 with safcII, stock injectors, msd 6btm, ss blaster coil, t3/to4b turbo, tial 35mm wastegate, 2.5 in d/p, and fmic and my problem is that i keep getting cel 3 whenever im going 45mph+ and boosting(about the time vtec seems to kick in). Today i pulled out the safcII and stuck in the missing link and what do you know...no more codes just running a bit lean up top. Im think safcII is the cause maybe incorrect installation but ive checked the connections at least 5 times thoroughly maybe im just missing something. any help would be appreciated.

 

Your ECU is seeing too much voltage from the map when you are boosting.

Something is either fuxored with the AFC or incorrect install (which would be odd if all else is running properly)

 

I was thinking the same thing but the safcII was used only for maybe 10 hrs max.

 

I'll reinstall the safc tommorow and see if i get the same problems.

stock injectors and a wideband will be fine on low boost till i get tuner toys.

 

ah wideband.... how do you know if you're maxing out the stockers though? i assume it'll just start to go lean?

 

stock injecters and afc will be ok for about 1psi on a decent sized turbo, the stock injectors run at 80% capacity N/A!

Get some injectors in there, You need to injectors to scale the fuel back to trick the ECU from seeing boost, The code you are getting is for MAP

 

alright so i have to be scaling the fuel maps back in order to eliminate the cel 3 which will hide the boost.
