Default RPM signal wire problem

I am using the SAFC hack on a 92 H. Civic Si. (OBD1) I am wiring up ,but I am having a problem finding the RPM signal cable. From what I think I know, The thick blue wire coming from the distributor is what gives off this signal right? On the APEXI website, they show the RPM signal being on A21 and that is called ICM, Ignition Control Module (ICM) Output signal, About 10V KOEO. Would this cable from the distributor give off the RPM signal needed or should I just run a single wire to the engine bay, and onto the thick blue wire. Any help is greatly appreciated guys. Thanx. I hope I did not leave anything out.

Thanx
