Default question about my setup

Ok, please understand that this is my first turbo setup and Still learning.

here is my setup-

t3 Turbo internal wastegate set at 8 PSI (I still have to figure out how to change the boost setting on internal wastegates) if anyone knows please inform me

hf manifold

adaptor plate

vafc

DSM 450cc injectors with resitor box

johnny race car 6inch intercooler

my questions are

1. How do I change the boost setting on an internal wastegate

2. Will my vafc be sufficent enogh to manage my fuel for my setup.

I've done some research and it seems to me like this will work since I'm running low boost.

I just want to make sure before I put all of this together and blow my motor

thanks for any help.

Lengthen or shorten the actuator rod to lower or raise boost respectively.

2. Will my vafc be sufficent enogh to manage my fuel for my setup.

I'd keep reading through the forums and the FAQ. But you'd want to lengthen the rod to lower boost, shorten it to raise boost.
And as far as something to adjust timing, yes... Alot of guy's here run the MSD BTM. It lets you retard ignition timing by the twist of a **** inside the vehichle. Even if you don't go with a BTM, you should still retard your timing somehow.

NO!

You're going backwards in technology. FMU < AFC < ECU. Always.

hehe, I beleive what Ef9 is trying to tell you is. Stay away from the FMU. AT least stick with the AFC and 450's. The FMU is a mechanical unit that really only raises fuel pressure to your stock injectors. Most of them have close to no tuneability, and if there was ever a mechanical failure due to either the FMU , your fuel pump dying out, or a maxed out injector... say good by to your nice turbo engine

and yes, you'd still need to retard timing! Correct me if i'm wrong, but with any turbo setup, it's a good idea to retard your timing because with the forced induction of a turbo, the intake charge is more dense. If you don't retard your timing, while the engine is under boost you can get pre- ignition (detonation) which in time will destroy your engine. Theres many things that we use to try to minimize pre-ignition and intake temp' etc. i.e: colder spark plugs, intercoolers, timing retardation, high octaine fuel, lower compression, good tuning etc.
