Default Prices on daughterboards for obd0

I am negotiating a price on these (to buy for myself); does $30-35 sound fair for fully assembled units (just daughterboard, not including ecu)? These would include the option for up to 4 programs, to switch between race gas, valet, etc.

Most chipped ecus can only accept one chip at a time. So, you burn the chip, and to change your settings you have to re-burn and insert another chip.

These daughterboards for use with obd0 non-external rom ecus can accept up to 4 chips at a time. You can have one programed for daily driving, one programed for race gas, one programed for valet mode (3k rpm limit), you get the idea. So, with a switch mounted outside the ecu, you can flip between programs without having to re-burn. I'ts a pretty cool idea I think. Too bad I didn't think of it. :P

Problem is, I have no idea how to do that; I mean I can follow someone's schematic to assemble a circuit board but when it comes to something original i'm all thumbs. Plus he's out of the assemble-it-yourself kits; all he has are fully assembled units. That's why he says he's charging: $30 for the oldschool boards with one slot, $35 for the new versions with 4. I'll probably just buy them...
