since he has an ex, his iacv should already be 2 wire i believe, if it's a manual tranny, then i know it's 2 wire, so all you'll need to do is plug the harness up and plug an ecu in, plug and play. there are 2 different styles for obd2, since he has a 99, he'll need an 'obd2b to obd1' conversion harness, they're 78 bucks shipped on www.jdmshit.com. yes, you could boost about 6 psi with stock injectors, but that's up to you/him, but no way would/should you go over 6 psi. the iab thing, that's only with gsr's and h22's, so you don't have to worry about any of that. all you'll need to do is plug the harness and ecu in and go.

Yea, I was talking to him online earlier and had him go out and check his IACV, he told me it was 2 wire, so I told him he was golden with that. I am pretty sure he was already planning on getting his harness from JDMshit and we both already agreed just to get the DSM 450's so he would have the cushion for upping the boost later. So, he is going to be running the hf mani with a garret m24 turbo with .80 a/r (not sure what it is from) he has a starion intercooler, going to be running the dsm 450's with a 'projekteg chipped' P06 ecu running Uber and I think he might be running a 2nd gen dsm bov. Should be sweet for a first time set-up.

Yeah I remember I accidentally got the wrong harness the first time because I didn't know any better. I was so pissed when it came in and one of the plugs didn't match up

If his car is a stick its a 2 wire IAC. If its an auto its 3 wire and a boat anchor.

www.jdmshit.com has them cheaper and someone posted the other day and they were $55.

look for a obd0-obd1 post it had a link in it for really cheap conversion harnesses.

^^ Damn for 55 shipped I would have snatched one up.
I have a 97 LS, so it is OBD2a. I was going with jkobdconversionharnesses.com sale price now is 85 bucks, and he matches ANY online price.

I was leaning toward JKOBD because i heard his are truly "plug and play".And that some others there are still some wires to add, etc.

So which is it. If the jdmshit OBD2a-OBD1 harness is truly plug and play, then I will pick one up today if I can find the post for $55 bucks. ? ? ?

depends if you have a 2 or 3 wire iacv i think they are all made for 2wire and if you have 3wire you have to alter harness.
