Default New Fuel Pump, Now Doesent Start.

So I basically just had a friend do the fuel pump cause I was lazy and now the ------- car wont start. Plus the oil check light is coming on.. So the only things done at one time was a oil catch can, fixed a broken oil line, and the fuel pump. Car turns over and has spark. Think it was a bad installation?? Was one of the chang fuel pumps. Came with a connector for the fuel pump that we didnt use.. I donno help a ***** out.. Im pretty ------- pissed.. I checked the fuses.. Pump sounded like it was priming fuel the first few times I put the ignition in the on position.. Then when I went to start it the sound died and didnt come back..

Well, if the car ran fine prior to the pump installation, I think you can narrow the problem down to the pump installation

Why don't you check for fuel pressure and check the pump is getting power, basic diagnostic type stuff.

I took it out. Wiring wasnt messed up.. But the pump was installed on the wrong side... It was some power short and I did a haggard wire job real quick.. Works fine now.. But new problem.. Speedo!
