2000 camry ECU??

2000 camry ECU??
Im getting good with all the honda stuff... pretty much can do it all now... i want to help my buddy boost his 00 Camry, but want to check the CEL codes first to see what he has wrong before we start. so where is the ecu located and can you jump codes with a toyota if so where is the jumper spot.??

actaully This car has an OBDII connector under the dash either out in the open or the port to connect to in the fuse box.
As for code reader checker, schucks, kragen or murray parts store have a scanner that can read obdII generic and most manufactur specific codes.
And If you put done a deposite you can use it to monitor long and short term fuel trim, ect, idle control, vss, map or maf, and awhole bunch of other stuff.
Or if you want to keep a reader to you get a new equus 3130 with all the trimming cost @ 200 usd.
I use this on my '96 camry and '96 previa.
I have also used this on a lot of cars 96-07 with good results.
And also you can use the readers to erase codes after the problem has been fixed.
