Indeed, I am the guy behind the new diyefi.org, not the old diy-efi.org site.
It was "inspired" by bruce vetoing Jean's mini gpio board. Basically he shat on his hardcore original supporters by doing that (again). It just made me realise what I should have known for a very long time. I.E. MegaSquirt is a commercial thing. It just seemed free/open source because the designs and code were exposed. However, if you wanted to do something better hardware wise you weren't allowed. And the firmware leaves something to be desired from a dev point of view. It is excellent from a practical point of view though.
Anyway, what do you think?
