Ill have another peek at the car this weekend. No codes at this moment.

No, connectors themselves switched around. It won't toss any codes either seeing both map and tps run on 0-5v range.

It will even as obd0 if the map and tps are switched. Same thing happened on my friend's obd1 swapped hatch with an LS...map and tps were swapped and it tossed thick black smoke out the back. Once rpm's started to climb it cleaned up a little but not alot. Switched the plugs around and it was fixed.

Ok, how bout a little more info on the setup and chassis then? And what ecu and program you're using too. No resistor box with the dsm 450's perhaps? ASSuming you're using Crome, did you try using a p72 map instead? I've heard of people sometimes having issues with p30 code and such, maybe worth a shot. Oh, and on a side note, even when scaling back for 450's you're going to have to increase the idle area of the fuel map to take into account for injector latency.

Alright.. here goes.

89 EF hatch

rywire obd 1 conversion

lsvtec
b16head b18 blovk
gsr cams
ls tranny
t3/t04e .57 trim
450 dsms
2.5 charge piping
large *** front mount.
aem fuel rail
stock regulator
hi flo fuel pump
3In DP
chipped p28 on chrome + ostrich

Even when i converted the car back to stock 240 injectors and stock obd0 ecu the car still ran retardedly rich... it doesnt really make sence...

oh and btw mr.slocrx, i do appreciate your help

No problem...I'm here to help if I can

Check your fuel rail pressure...when I installed my walbro 255lph hp pump, it shot my rail pressure up to 65psi+. It ran rich as hell until I turned the fpr down all the way, but my return line is still too small and I still can't go below 42psi at idle :P More than likey that's why you had to scale back an extra 40%.

On a side note, did you run the ls/vtec n/a? Reason I ask is I'm thinking about slapping a quick b18a1 stock setup together with my b16 head and I'm wondering how the lower pr4 piston compression does in n/a form...or if I should just put my pr3's on there like I originally intended.

im a lil stoned, so well see if i can make any sence.

Ive never ran an ls vtec before. One of my boys had an EG with a b16head and b18 block with pr3 pistons (b16a1). It ran pretty awesome.... low 14s i believe with an ITR tranny...

EF:

I used to run the same fuel pump with a stock b16 turbo... it car ran fine on stock ecu. Although i used fmu and afc hack.... it blew... but i was on crack boosting 14psi... fun tho

so then i decided to convert to obd 1 and go lsvtec w/ arias 9:1 pistons... Now it runs like ---- off the get go. I wonder if it has anything to do with my fuel pump... I replaced my main relay by soldering a little while ago tho... i wonder if their are any cheap ways of checking fuel pressure without buying a guage.

Not really any way to check fuel pressure without a guage. I put the b&m fuel pressure gauge on mine, that way when I have to adjust I don't have to hook up a guage and then unhook it when I'm done.
