Default moates ostrich giving me CEL even with good bin

Like it say's, I've been running on a basemap with no problems or CEL's. when I load the same exact map on the ostrich, I get a solid CEL, I'm getting really frusterated, is there any software that needs to be installed for the ostrich, I got it new but it didnt come with any instructions or disk. I am using the driver from the moates burn1.

I just told it to search my cd rom since the driver was on the cd, that was when I got my burn1 and it works fine, and arent the burn1 and ostrich supposed to use the same driver. When I go into my hardware tab it just say's "usb device" not "www.moates.net USB device driver", could that be it? Am I using the wrong driver?

If Crome detects the ostrich, it should link up. Did you remove the checksum routine before uploading from crome to ostrich?

yes, even if I didnt it should not give me a cel if all I try is a factory p28 bin. When I click "detect connection" it say's i'm connected, when I hit put I can get it to put the bin on the ostrich and when I verify it comes back good, but still solid CEL. If I put that same bin on a chip it works like a champ, and purrs like a kitten with no cel.

Remove the routine checksum then should get rid of that CEL.

you must not have understood, I did remove the checksum and I still get a CEL, It runs fine if I burn it to a chip if the checksum is removed or not.

hmmm...so this is just a solid CEL even when you jump the service connector? Did you try to download what you uploaded to the ostrich to see if its the same bin? Sorry just trying to give you some ideas here but if all doesn't work I would try to uninstall the driver and then install it again. I heard there is a new firmware for ostrich to depending on when you got the ostrich. Good luck.
