Default Knock sensor Q's (The search don't work)

Well I just try to find a way to watch for knock. I have a SAFC II but the only way it'll let me see knock is if I have a stock sensor which I don't. So I was wondering if you guys in all of your infinite wisdom knew of a way to help me out. Is it just as simple as picking up a 1 wire sensor and plugging it in to the SAFC, or is it more involved.

For all the effort required to make an electronic one, it would be easier and cheaper to make a det can setup and use that for initial tuning. Knock sensors only pick up certain frequency (i.e. larger amounts of knock) where as with a det can setup you yourself can listen in on your engine to determine whether or not it has knock, even down to the smallest amount.
