i'm too scared to leave the ignition maps stock, the motor is going to be n/a for a year or two with a vtc mechanism modified for 45 degrees of advance/retard. I'm thinking of using a ridiculously thin head gasket to bump up the compression a tiny bit, then when the turbo comes on, get a normal sized head gasket, rip off the vtc mechanism then re tune.

on the hondata website, it says the k100's are only tunable by a dealer with a k-pro system, which is the ghey one that's 600 and the k-pro is the one I want but it costs a shitload more. http://www.hondata.com/kproducts.html

Well I mean sure, you could work out your fuel maps on the street (which you should do anyway for a portion of the tuning) but the timing and cam angle maps will definately need some dyno time. These engines make their power through the cam degrees and ignition timing maps and trust me, theres plenty of them to tune... 12 ignition maps and 12 fuel maps total just to give you an idea
Brandston I'm not sure if they changed anything recently but I believe the K100 is not for sale in the US. I would have to give my opinion and say keep saving for the Kpro. You'll spend $600 plus installation fee's for the K100 when the Kpro is anly a few hundred more and will be much more valuable to you either under Boost or NA. I'd say it's the way to go.
