You including cam gear adjustments in there?

And is this strictly full throttle or part as well?

2 Hours for a well set NA motor seems a little lean to me...not that it cant be done mind you if everything is perfect as it arrives.

Only cars I tune are ones that a friend builds or mine so the cars are running perfect. Most wot these are not really street cars in the sense that you will drive to your grandparents in them so the good gas mileage etc isnt really an issue so if you want 30+mpg ya Its gonna take more time but my job is not to blow up a really pricey motor so its gonna run rich and Ill take the fact that its lossing power but piece of mind is more value able to me than 4-5 whp.

Well I couldnt stand getting a total pile of ---- running like ass, check codes, etc and expected to make it run solid. I would almost punch someone for bring in such a pile to be tuned.

yeah, so I thought for sure that I would be able to come across an extra ECU to chip this weekend (after I thought about it, I want to chip a 'spare' ECU to have a 'backup' incase something weird does go south....

but I spent all day friday searching JY's, probably went to 10 different places, and low and behold, not one ------- chippable ECU to be found. >:( I couldnt even find a single cam, vtec (d15b) auto ECU :S Im going to search this evening for one, hit up a few more places that I know about, but rarely go to and see what I can come up with. I hope like hell I can find one. If I can find one, I will be burning chips this weekend! :y

Yup. I cant find one dam ECU.

I have litterly been to about 25-30 yards since last Friday and no one has a chippable ECU. Who would have thought it would be so dam difficult to find a dam ECU! Ive looked in Civics, Integras, Ascots, del slows...

Now I have about a week and a half to look. My buddy is heading to the states tommorow and wont be back until the end of the month. :(

so now, the next question...
Buy an ecu here for 5000yen (around $45) and have him chip it (which I have already bought the stuff to do that) or just say ---- it and buy a chipped ECU from the states and not continue to look for one?

Find one and chip it you'll save a lot of money. For myself I can find aq junkyard ecu and chip it myself for $50.

On finding ecu's it's like that like you'll see a bunch of civics they just dropped out in the yard and absolutly nothing looks to missing but the ecu will be gone.
The trick to getting um is this most junkyards have a fenced in spot where they hold the cars and look them over and pull low milage engines and stuff like that if they have them. find one close to your house and watch their holding pen and talk to employee's and find out when it's going to the yard. and be there then. I do it and I get about three a month. It sounds like you go to junkyards as much as I do. Thats all you have to do.
