so last night im running to go pick up some parts, hit up the freeway...no problems AF's are coo etc. but on the way back im just cruising along and fell the car start to loose power and stumble (at about 75-80)..."umm WTF?" so i am in a stare down with the PLX, showing 16's!! tap the throttle a little more of the same ---- with some 17's... so this is seeming to be a little odd, i do have a little spot in my map that will got a little lean but not like this, so i down shift a gear to try to get the RPMs up, no good. and i start to freek out cuz im doin about 60 now and car wont accellerate, so i hit the exit. i let off the gas to slow down and blam CEL! not a problem cuz i have been getting a code 1 on decel for a while (think everyone has been getting it with TE?)... BUT when that happens AF's come back... to 12's!! i got power back and instanly back on the freeway and plus ------ hard to 80 again??

im a little confused by this. im thinking its not the map, but its happened a couple other times too, all after 10mins plus of driving on the freeway (dont usually get on the freeway, seattle/everett sucks for traffic).

anyway i would like to hear your thoughts on this...thanks

 

I get a code 1 while going down the freeway too, wouldn't the crazy A/F ratios you were seeing cause the code 1, i don't know.

 

im pretty sure its the decel that caused it, but THATS NOT MY PROBLEM, i dont really care about that its all the ---- before it that conserns me...

the problem is that i am at the same speed for several minutes and with no change in rpm, vaccum/boost, load, etc it will start to run dangerously lean for what seems to be no reason whatsoever....

 

What rom are you using?

 

that's weird... it sounds EXACTLY like what was happening to me when I was running dsm 450s with an SAFC. Acceleration was okay, but if I decelerated all of a sudden, I'd get a cel... if I richened up my low throttle settings, like WAY MORE than they should have been, it didn't happen. Ever since I switched to Uberdata I haven't had one cel. Weird.

ok...i didnt hear anyone talkin about this. but as long as you guys know about it i am cool...i was thinking maybe the fuel pump was dieing...and i dont want to drop the ------ tank again
