I drive a Honda Civic DX with a D16z6 engine swapped in it.
I didnt watch the guy do it so i dont have a clue why he fucked up the wiring in the ecu

It is a p28 ecu

There is one wire coming from the solenoid. It is first Green with white stripe. It goes about 3 inches to a connector and it turns into a green with yellow stripe. I fallow it down and back up again and it goes to more connectors but stays the same color and stuff. I look at my ecu and found the wire. It is located in A7. NOT A8 of A4.

The check engine light is on. It has been since the guy swapped it out. He told me to bring it back..but cheated on his wife and ---- now they are divorced and i havnt seen him since...but out of him i got... Engine swap, BOV, oil lines put in, transmission work, new clutch, frount mount installed for 400.00..hehe

I am hoping the wire i found it the solenoid wire..i dont know how to tell...multimeter? How do you take the wire out and move it to A4? Also, is the p28 not vtec..did he forget to change ecu's or what?

Sorry i didnt give good enough information. I hope this helps.

yes, the p28 is vtec, and more than likely that is your vtec wire at a7, one very easy way to check it would be to hook that wire directly to the positive terminal on your battery, and if you hear the vtec solenoid click, then it's your vtec solenoid wire. to move the pin, just unplug that plug from the ecu and get a very small screwdriver to carefully push the pin out from the front side, then push it in to a4, there are plenty of ghetto ways to do it, all you need to do is make sure that wire touches the pin coming out of the ecu at a4 and you're good to go.
