joseph i noticed youre pretty familiar with obd0 auto tranny and whatnot. any updates? im wondering why g-force engineering put a 7500revlimit on an auto chip.

anyways, is there an easy way to graft the maps from my gforce pr4 auto chip into the Ghd boost base map? im not boosting yet but have the 450's in already with your maphack. should i even bother? the only problem im having with your maphack is the EGR cel and some slight stutter now and then. im assuming its ok to use the new map and get rid of the maphack, id just lose some resolution like i am now.

well i read the development/obd0/assembly forums and it doesnt seem like i can get anywhere w/o knowing hex much less assembly so its way over my head right now. i saved all the memory locations but again, the hex/assembly thing. if it helps i do know how to use excel heh.

heres the gforce bin http://www2.pgmfi.org/phorum/read.php?f=10&i=852&t=852
does it even look like a correct bin? it doesnt seem to open up in the older Ghd versions or obd0edit. in hex/ascii it looks much different than PR4OEM-Autopulldown.bin which opens up, but then a few others i have dont either, ie pr4-dinan90-91.bin. the autopulldown is from pgmfi while the latter is from someone on g2ic who sent me a zip of several pr4 chips.

The fuel and ignition Ghettodyne basemaps I run are from the XS Engineering (same as Dinan) LS tune... PR4 is wierd code, has two ignition maps and four fuel; I just ran with the first occurence of each (they were the only maps different than stock).

I could probably whip something up from your auto program and insert the maps into Ghettodyne 2.2.1... but that code will not work with an auto tranny anymore. Give me a day or two, I just got back home and I am swamped with stuff and things.

can i use my 1991 HF ecu to retune i have a 91 LS ecu i can use but if i can retune the HF ecu instead that would be cool so i could set this one up for the motor and have the stock chip if i jack anything up.

The HF PM8 *should* be compatible with the new A5H-less PM6 code. You cannot chip those ECUs conventionally; they have no external chip - the program is kept in the main processor itself.

With the A5H-less code (A5H or just A5 is an assembly language command that was only used on $$$ OKI 8xC154 chips from the OBD0 Civic/integra) you can run a cheap $5 Amtel reflashable MCU... you have to socket the board for the 40 pin MCU, and come up with an adapter to reflash the 40 pin MCU. A bit more of a PITA than 90-91 PM6 and PR4, but it works.

Just to be entirely clear... I'm not 100% on being able to chip the PM8 (HF) ECU just yet. No one has done it, but it SHOULD work from all indications.

man, this ghettodyne stuff is neat, I've heard about it but never checked it out; from how you guys are describing it it sounds too cool! I'm going to the pgmfi board now to read up on this!

So you can use an 90-91 si ecu in your 4th gen civic or crx with any motor swap? I mean if you use ghettodyne to do the fuel and ignition? Also it will work with any engine swap in your 4th gen "b16, ZC, B18, H22" boosted just by ajusting the fuel and what not?
