Re:Ghettodyne 2.2.1 w/ boost officially working
shortyz, you're looking for an "EPROM emulator" or ROMulator (name for the substandard xtronic's product, but it's fluent like NOS so lots of people call them that).
Speed PHreak has one from a company in FL that ran him $109 plus shipping. Not a bad price. I'll try to dig up the info.

Re:Ghettodyne 2.2.1 w/ boost officially working
Really interesting...
I still have some questions:
1/ is Ghettodyne a free software?
2/ is it really hard to tune it?Cause I have Romeditor and it's not really clear...
3/ for guys who has done some different set-ups,would it be possible to download the .bin or .hex files you have created to give them a try on our cars?If you specifiy the car set-up of each map,it could be really interesting...
PSou all seem very afraid about detonation...And I'm about to turbocharge a B16A1 Civic (1991/1992 model) with a 10psi boost set-up (with a T3 turbo)...But in France we have 98 octane fuel...Should I stop being afraid of det problems if I turn the dizzy correctly?

just dont go lean. make sure you've got enough fuel and make sure the dizzy isnt set at something stupid.

Re:Ghettodyne 2.2.1 w/ boost officially working
so if you are using a ROMulator to tune on the fly, what do you do about an eeprom? do you just your ECU with a blank eeprom? also, i can't install ghettodyne on my pc? why? do i need any type of software to install it? i have xp it that makes a difference. and last of all, if you use the ROMulator, do you still need a chip burner?

Goto www.GhettoDyne.com There is a fix for XP listed right on the home page. Hope that solves your problem!

Re:Ghettodyne 2.2.1 w/ boost officially working
Hrm...are you saving it to disk first? It needs to be in the same directory as the other GhettoDyne files. Once it is downloaded you should double click on it and it should pop-up a black window for a second and then go away, which it sounds like it is doing, but again it has to be downloaded, and not opened from it's current location when you click on the link. Let me know what happens.

Is there someone here who could briefly explain me how ghettodyne works?

Re:Ghettodyne 2.2.1 w/ boost officially working
well (i'll probably catch hell for this and be quoted and corrected) it's basically like hondata, that's the easiest way to explain it if you don't know what it is
